Almost 30 years later and we finally have a complete soundboard with the correct track order! You'll notice this source has no tape warble at the beginning of Undertow. That warble was caused by a reel-to-reel tape that Westwood One used for duplication and distribution to radio stations. One of those reel-to-reel tapes was transferred to CD-R, where the warble was captured. That CD-R was sent to Kiss The Stone Records, who ripped it, removed the commercials, left the track order as is, and released it as Tales From The Darkside. The set was recorded by Sylvia Massey and Biff Dawes on behalf of Westwood One. It's not clear if the DAT purchased from Sylvia (the source of this version) was the master DAT or one of many edited clones, but it seems likely it's the latter given the incorrect track order. Why the incorrect track order? We'll likely never know. Of all known soundbound sources for this date, this is as good as it gets in terms of sound and lineage.
