Sound Ratings(s): | Starjelly08 Sound Rating Starts off with Intolerance, and some super brief orchestral thingy. Recording is clear. Fairly crisp even. Kick drum is a bit quiet, snare could use a little low end thud, but it has a pretty nice crack (heh). Toms could use some low end too. Guitar is a little quiet but gets louder and thicker throughout the song and seems the sound guy was trying to find a good spot for him in the stereo field as well in the middle of the song. Bass could use some low mids and volume. Vocals are nice, right in the middle and well balanced. His vocal effects are apparent but not overwhelming like they can be on the soundboards. By the second track, Hush, the guitar is nice and loud and thicker. Maynards scream crackles here a little bit. Nothing obnoxious. Seems he starts working on the bass here a little bit too, subtly. Honestly, had they had the sound they got in the end right off the bat, and just had a little more girth to the drums and bass...could have made for a really damn good board recording. Still not too shabby at all. Very worth listening, possibly even having. Oh, nice. Got to Swamp song and discovered that this was a show that I did do a remaster on years and years ago that turned out actually super nice. I was definitely able to bring out the low end and the kick and everything. Sweeeet. I will be downloading and doing a new remaster with my better skills now. Excited to make this one even better. VTX666 Sound Rating One of the best recordings from 93. The sound quality is insane - sure it's a soundboard recording, but still, it blows my mind how good it is. The band is at top form also. Sure, there's minimal hiss and other noises but that just adds up the the nice raw sound and feeling to it. Can't wish for more, really. This is a must have for every fan. hodor
Sound Rating Fuck yes, drop this into the car rig and rock it loud. Pretty sure this was the end of the Europe tour which saw them work out some of the Undertow tracks. Hard not to give this a 10 of 10. | |||||||||
